Luíseach Donnachaidh: I’m not one to leave reviews for places, but Mjølner deserves it. I came here last night for my 22nd birthday and had an absolutely AMAZING time. The food was perfect and you could tell they used great quality ingredients, the atmosphere made me feel like I was in a viking dining hall, and the staff were so welcoming and truely made the night special. As someone with Swedish and Norwegian heritage, I kept imagining what it would be like to be my ancestors dining together after a long battle. My partner and I are already planning on coming back soon! And a special thanks to Finn for taking care of us and catering to our dietary restrictions.Dietary restrictions: We don’t eat pork or alcohol, the team at Mjølner catered to our dietary requirements perfectly. They were so accommodating, we both felt taken care of.

Riley De’ath Chung: I came here on my birthday and it was fantastic! We were greeted warmly and seated with a welcoming drink. They were accommodating for my partner who wasn’t drinking, they offered us an alcoholic beverage and a non-alcoholic beverage. Both delicious! The ambiance, aesthetic, and the lovely staff made this whole experience worth it. My braised short rib was delicious and the drinks were great however me and my partner found that the vegetarian option for the mains and the new potato side was undercooked. We hope next time we come back there are more or different vegetarian/vegan options. Overall, we had a great time! Also because it was my birthday they gave me a birthday present which was above and beyond. Thank you very much!

taylou: Had such a great time here. We booked last minute for a late night dinner as we just had to try it after reading the great reviews and it did not disappoint. Even at 9pm, the staff were fully into keeping up with the theme and delivered great service. They helped us choose from both the food and drinks menu and their reccomendations were spot on and so appreciated. Every single dish was not just good, but incredible. Weeks later, we’re still talking about that bone marrow on rye dish - highly reccomend trying. It was a real stand out, unique experience, especially with the whisky poured down the bone afterwards. The atmosphere is absolutely fantastic and the whole experience was worth every dollar and more.

Vue De Monde is the epitome of Australian quality: Seemingly effortless, discreetly coordinated, wonderfully warm and hugely welcoming.As soon as we arrived, staff simply 'took care of us.'European, Asian and American fine dining is superb and there are times when it's terrific to enjoy the formality, the decorum and dare I say the pomposity of a posh meal out.Yet what we excel at in Australia is quality delivered with our egalitarian sense of mateship and welcome and Vue De Monde has captured this beautifully: The timing of chairs being whisked and proffered for simultaneous seating, napkins draped for eating, menus and wine lists appearing, courses spaced for maximum delectation is to watch and experience a grand orchestra in motion.Oh and the views of Melbourne and the bar and the champagne cart and the cocktails and the wine and the food and the cheese cart and the tour of the kitchen...Sixteen courses of visually arresting creations with flavour combinations which brought us to momentary silence as we puzzled together the rich combinations...Our conversations ebbed and flowed as the flavours evoked memories, tastes and colours from our childhoods and also travel experiences from around the world.What an absolutely, pleasurably long and delightful celebratory lunch.After thirty years of marriage we enjoy not agreeing and we enjoy actively arguing about many things. They certainly made us feel like the only people there, even though I am sure they made everyone feel this way. This was a dining experience like no other.The food is remarkable to say the least, and the wine pairings were absolutely perfect.I would like to add that we are not people who are able to attend fine dining venues on a regular basis, which I am sure is apparent. It was a little out of our depth and could have made for an uncomfortable experience, but the staff made us feel completely at home and welcome.This is truly the top of the top establishment.

What truly set Navi apart was the service and presentation; the staff was incredibly knowledgeable, confidently explaining each course and its perfect wine pairing. The matched wines were not only very good but perfectly complemented the flavors of the meal. It's evident that Navi places a strong emphasis on quality and a genuine passion for ensuring a memorable dining experience. Highly recommended for a night out where good food and great service are at the top of the menu!

There's a lot to appreciate, especially the attention to detail in celebrating local ingredients , complimented with the thoughtful and clever incorporation of flavours/elements. We found other restaurants deliver on a similar level for a cheaper fare. I guess that was due to the limited amount of spots per evening.
